A cookie thief in our house

April 21st, 2008

My brother, the great chef of the family, brought over a bag of cookies for us to try last night.  Now there were 7 cookies in the bag and 3 of us.  So I grabbed one before dinner leaving 6, 2 for each of us.

Well, I took my 2 cookies to my room and placed them on my pillow and went into the bathroom to wash my face.  I come out of the bathroom to notice that Feather, my darling little pincess spaniel is sitting on her edge of the bed looking at me.  Well this is strange ’cause she never comes into my room at this time of night.  She waits until about 11 when everyone in the house is ready for bed and follows mom, who is normally the last one up, to my room to get in.  Thinking nothing really of her happy little expression I walked into my room and headed for my cookies about the same time that she jumps off the bed and heads for the living room.  I reach for the cookies and then notice that there is only one left!  Hum, the cookie thief, aka Feather, was laying on the crumbs as if to hide the evidence, only after she left my room did I notice them.  The cookie left on the bed is in the same spot as I left it!

This from a dog who would never, in her 8 years on the planet, touch my plate if I left it on my bed, which I will never do again but have done in the past.  Oh well, I’m looking at it this way, I really didn’t need that 3rd cookie!

Phrase of the day:  Driver Obsessionitis.  found in a book I was reading about NASCAR stuff.  Thought it fit me.

Two great quotes from Tony Stewart…”he can’t drive a hot nail in a snow bank!”…”I am what I am…just learn to be comfortable with who I am”

Difficulites make us grow…Growing is good.part two

I went to the Orange County Good Guys a couple of weeks ago.  They had a road course set up and for a signature you could take a ride in one of the cars.

Confession time, I’ve never been know to do something like this before.  I’ll sit on the sidelines wanting so to do it but never having the ‘balls’(for lack of a better word) to do it.  But I had my buddy with me and it seemed like a cool thing to do so I signed up.   Two trips around the course and I was so happy with myself that I did it and had so much fun with it.  It was awesome!!!

See, I’m growing, its just taking me a long time to do.
