Funeral update

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Ok so there is about twenty things I could be doing right now but I’m not.  I wanted to do an update on our firend’s funeral.

I’ve come to the realization that if I ever get married that I cannot have a church wedding.  The boys are horrible in churches.  One was an alter boy for this church and stood in the back the whole time.  One kept making horrible comments and the other three were sitting somwhat innocently in the back.  I felt like I was the teacher who is responsible for the ‘bad kids’ in the back.  The good thing is the church didn’t fall down on us so that’s always a hugh plus.

Tommy’s casket was classic.  Painted in about the same color as his wagon and pin striped the same.  It had flames down the side and on each end it had his wagon’s license plate number and the chevy bowtie.

The car procession was awesome, we had about 30-50 cars and went though downtown Santa Ana.  The funniest thing was a lady who decieded to get into our line in front of me.  That cop was so pissed, I’m sure if he wouldn’t have been on the procession duty he would have givin her a ticket.  Tommy’s son, who is a pretty good looking clone of his dad drove his wagon and was freaked about it.  Tommy NEVER let anyone else drive is car.  Everything that we all associated with him, his picnic stuff etc, was in the back of the wagon as if they were all going to a car show.  It was touching.

At the gravesite, they let out doves as a tribute.  Well the dove that symbolized him didn’t want to leave the box.  I thought that was touching as well.  Then when the rest of the doves were released, a hawk came out of nowhere and chased them.

All in all, I think the funeral fit who he was as a person and his wife and family did a great job of honoring his life and loves.

Do I get brownie points?

I went to St Catherine’s reenactment on Saturday.  Wore my grey early war dress with the Military bodice design.  Love this dress.  Had my hair the way I wanted it (a little 40’s with a lot of Civil War) and even had carnations died green for the occasion.  Anyways, I get there and am wisked off the the sutlers for some dress help with a really nice girl that is a newbie for the reenactments.  Little did I know at that point she is my Ex’s new Girlfriend.  The dress she was looking at was $125.00 and I could see that she wasn’t expecting to pay that much.  So I offered to let her borrow one of my dresses.  So off we went to back to my house.  I asked her about dating my Ex and we had some pleasant conversation about it.  Found out she had two kids, etc.  I didn’t let her know all my horrible things about him and our breakup.  It wasn’t too bad actually, we just really hated each other for a while after, I blamed him and he blamed me kinda thing.  I got her dressed and back we went.  I can’t tell if he was putting on a show with her for me or what but he was really showy with his affection which was not him when we were going out.  But anyways, I decieded to have fun anyways and off her and I went to watch the battle.  When we walked up to the bleachers we were both asked to join the Fashion Show.  This has always been something I’ve wanted to do and of course said yes.  So I did the Fashion show and watched the battle.  A couple I know from the Car Shows came to watch as well so I was showing them around too.  Had a lot of fun and stayed till about 9pm and then left.

So the question is, do I get brownie points for dressing my ex’s girlfriend?  And in my other favorite dress that he acutally hated?  Or was that evil of me?

Outlet for Adult Toys?

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

Did you know there is a discount/outlet adult store in Sylmar?  Its off the 210 freeway and almost to the 5/14 interchange.  On the right side if your going toward the grapevine.  Right before a studio wherehouse with the name starting with D.  How would you like to buy outlet sex toys and condoms?  I always thought that outlet clothing was seconds…get my drift.  Funny that I catch this this past weekend when I was in the car with George.  If don’t remember it being there when I went to Fresno in Feb.  Next time I’ll get a pic.
