Memory Walk

If you notice above, I have a linked image from the Memory Walk of Orange County, that directs you to a donation page. A friend of mine is participating in this walk, I may too, I haven’t made a decision regarding it just yet. Anyhow, her team has an insane goal for raising money for Alzheimer Disease and I told her that in addition to donating myself, I would plug it in my blog in hopes of getting some more donations for her and her team.

In a Gallup poll commissioned by the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 in 10 Americans said that they had a family member with Alzheimer’s and 1 in 3 knew someone with the disease. The number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease will continue to grow – by 2050 the number of individuals with Alzheimer’s could total 16 million.

If you can spare any monetary value to their cause, that would be awesome and it would be greatly appreciated by more people than just my friend and I. Proceeds from Memory Walk go directly to local services to improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.
