Thursday Thirteen: Save the World

Thirteen Things you can do to help the environment

  1. Replace all your lightbulbs with energy efficient ones. They save you on the electricity bill and they last 7 years.
  2. Unplug appliances that you aren’t using. Even if they are off, you are still consuming electricity that way.
  3. Buy a Hybrid car if you can afford it.
  4. If you can’t afford a hybrid, carpool or take mass transportation systems instead of commuting down the freeway in the car by yourself
  5. Quit smoking.
  6. Write your congress person to push for alternative energy sources.
  7. Use more fans, less Air Conditioning when the temperatures start to rise.
  8. Buy energy efficient appliances.
  9. Educate others on how they can reduce their CO2 Emmisions. Global Warming isn’t a hoax.
  10. Walk or ride a bike to nearby places rather than drive to near by places. Its good for the environment, but its also good for you.
  11. Support those in the government and politics that are dedicated to improving our Global Warming situation.
  12. Plant a tree or two.
  13. Buy recycled products rather than products that are made from raw resources. Or buy more bamboo and less wood products. Rainforests are often cut down in order to make more farmland for our raw resources.

Did that already…changing out light bulbs. I love how it’s bright for low wattage.
