Again, I find myself packing at the last minute! The dryer is on the fritz…its just not drying like it should…so, I’m packing my clothes a little on the late side. I am El Paso, TX bound for work. I was told that it is suffocatingly hot this time of the year.
I’m just hoping that all goes well and I can get in, get what I need and then get back to San Jose…without heat stroke. It was a very hot weekend up here this weekend…which is kind of a switch…it hasn’t been very hot lately. Today we had some rain in the afternoon…very tropical weather.
I walked the Bay to Breakers 12K yesterday with some friends…today, I was dragging my ass. My whole body aches and I feel like I have a hangover…but I didn’t even drink any alcohol or partake in any pot smoking during the race. I’m just getting old and out of shape. I’ll have to do a longer post on the Bay to Breakers 12K in San Francisco later on. I took LOTS of pictures…I couldn’t help myself. There were soo many costumes, freaks, and nudists (I didn’t get any full frontal shots…didn’t think anyone would want to see that). There weren’t that many sober people walking the race around me…everyone was either plastered or high. It was a fun experience. My friends and I decided that if we do this next year, we will walk within the corrals and do the “serious” walk, since they close the finish line at a certain time and redirect the course to Golden Gate Park. Its really hard to make it to the finish line in time when you are stuck behind floats and crazy people with big costumes. Yes, there were floats…floats of all sorts. Again, I will have to post about that later on.
Wish me luck on my trip and that my dryer starts behaving and drying my clothes quicker!
