Mierda Del Toro…Its A Fine Art

I’ve got some big news! Its not new news to me, but it is for anyone still reading. The reason I haven’t posted sooner about it, is because I hadn’t broken the news to all my IRL friends and family until Thanksgiving. I’m pregnant! I’m about 7 months pregnant…I know, how did I keep the news for sooo long? Working too much certainly helped, plus the forgetful pregnancy brain contributed as well.

However, the main reason I didn’t break the news earlier is because I really didn’t start to feel comfortable with this pregnancy going to full term until the end of the 6th month. Call me a skeptic, but I just didn’t have high hopes regardless of all the work my doctor, my husband, those that care about me and myself had done to make sure I got this far. But here I am and the baby is healthy, kicking up a storm and I am finally letting myself get excited about getting ready for the baby.

One thing I can’t tell you is the sex of the baby. It seems this kid wants to be a mystery. Months 5 and 6, the baby was turned the wrong way and the doctor couldn’t get any visual. By 6.5 months we got a visual, but it was too blurry to really tell…the doctor said, “It appears to be a girl, but I can’t be sure and I have been wrong before.” So, we are hoping that on Monday’s appointment, we will have a confirmation on the sex of the baby.

I’ll tell you though, not knowing the sex of the baby hasn’t kept me from knitting for the baby. I’ve knitted two outfits so far. Then I took a break for some holiday knitting…once that is done I will resume and hopefully by then I’ll know whether I’m carrying a girl or a boy. And if not, I’ll just have to go neutral again.
